Intent of the process

This process can be used to staff various temporary and permanent positions. A list of candidates will be established as a results of the process and could be used to staff future needs at the Veterans Affairs Canada and Veterans Review and Appeal Board. Position tenure or security requirements may vary according to the positions to be staffed.

Experience providing customer or client service in a professional work environment.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION
Successful completion of a post-secondary school certificate or diploma (awarded by a community college, a CEGEP, or a technical college) in office administration or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in any field relevant to the work to be performed.

EXPERIENCE
Experience Managing a Calendar

Experience in the Preparation of Documents for approval.

Experience as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces.

Experience in providing administrative support services in an office environment.*

*Administrative support services is defined as including the following: managing agendas or calendars, scheduling and organizing meetings/teleconferences, preparing and collating meeting file folders and background materials, making travel and / or hospitality arrangements, processing travel claims, procuring office equipment and supplies, maintaining a filing system, and other related duties.

Experience in planning and organizing workshops or special events.

Experience using an electronic filing system.

Experience in interpreting and applying legislation and policy.
