Education:

ALL STREAMS
ED1: Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Note: Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.

At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

** Recent is defined as experience that has been obtained within the last three (3) years.

STREAM 1: Programmer/Analyst
EX1: Recent** Experience in Developing or Maintaining Custom Solutions or Commercial off the Shelf Solutions (COTS) or a combination of both.
EX2: Recent** Experience in documenting systems (architecture, design, SOP, security, etc.) or functional requirements.

STREAM 2: Programmer/Analyst - Web Content Management
EX1: Recent** Experience in Web Support and Web Development.
EX2: Recent** Experience with content management systems.

Education:

ALL STREAMS
A-ED1: A diploma from a 3-year program offered by a recognized College with specialization in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or any other field related to the position.
A-ED2: A bachelor's degree from a recognized university with specialization in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or any other field related to the position.
A-ED3: Professional certification in one or more of the following IMIT areas: ITIL; Security; Microsoft; Oracle; Unix/Linux, Project Management, Business Analysis, Cloud, Mobile App Development, etc.

Experience:

A-EX1: Experience collaborating with Vendors and/or Consultants.
A-EX2: Experience supporting production environments

STREAM 1: Programmer/Analyst
A-EX1: Experience developing applications in either Java, .Net, PHP, or ColdFusion
A-EX2: Experience developing dynamic eForms with LiveCycle designer
A-EX3: Experience in Oracle Forms and/or Oracle Reports development
A-EX4: Experience supporting any of these specific commercial off the shelf products: Assyst, ccmEnterprise, APCM, Archibus, SharePoint, GCDOCS, Teammate, Jira, Confluence, Intelex, Canto Cumulus
A-EX5: Experience integrating systems through RESTful APIs
A-EX6: Experience in managing your work through a ticketing system such as JIRA, Assyst, or custom in house tool.
A-EX7: Experience in managing and creating Reports and/or Models using a BI tool such as COGNOS, Jasper Reports, SQL Report Server and MS Power BI.
A-EX8: Experience writing scripts in PowerShell, SQL
A-EX9: Experience writing PL*SQL programs
A-EX10: Experience developing applications in OpenText Gupta Team Developer or its predecessor Centura Team Developer.
