Information on accommodation for persons with disabilities
The main duties: i.) the analysis and transfer of existing data from a national survey on biosolids into an ACCESS database used to calculate GHG emissions from sludge application to agricultural fields from 1990 to present; ii) the review and selection of emission factors and carbon retention factors for biosolids applied to agricultural fields; iii.) provide input to the development of an approach to spatially define the application of sludge to agricultural fields in Canada; iv.) test approaches to calculate emissions from biosolids in different waste streams.

EDUCATION:
The student must be currently enrolled in a doctoral program in a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Bioresource Engineering or some other science relevant to the duties of the position.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience* in agricultural research related to the use of waste and/or biomass management.
Experience* in computer programming and manipulation of data through databases, computer programs or spreadsheets.
Experience* in the use of mathematical models.
*In the context of student recruitment in the federal public service, experience can be acquired through studies, work experience or volunteer activities.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability and willingness to travel.
