Administrative Assistant and Support (various positions) - CR-05 & AS-01

Developmental Program Officer - PM-01

Are you known for your aptitude for excellent client service? If you like advising and maintaining links with a variety of partners, this job could be for you! As a trainee program officer, you need excellent communication skills and you must be conversant with information analysis. Your knowledge of basic project management principles will enable you to conduct research, collect and synthesize the data needed for the organization’s decision-making. Intent of the process

This process it to staff various temporary and permanent positions. A list of candidates will be established as a result of this process and could be used to staff future needs at Indigenous Services Canada as well as Fisheries and Oceans Canada in the Quebec region (Mainly in Quebec city and Montreal). Position tenure, linguistic profiles or security requirements may vary according to the positions to be staffed.

Education requirements
• Candidates must hold a high school diploma or demonstrate that they have an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.

Degree equivalency

Professional requirements
• Candidates must have relevant experience in client service functions.
• They must also have relevant experience in administrative support functions.

*Though not exhaustive, administrative support functions may include one or more of the following activities: managing an electronic calendar in support of a superior; processing business travel claims; processing business financial activities; processing correspondence; coordinating administrative activities; organizing the logistics of meetings or conferences; etc.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Candidate who possess one or more of the following professional requirements are invited to demonstrate them in their applications, since they may be considered as an asset:

• Relevant experience in human resources functions.
• Relevant experience in financial functions (examples: budget tracking, entering information in a financial system, processing work orders, processing invoices, etc.).
• Relevant experience in functions or services for Indigenous people.
• Relevant experience in database functions.
• Relevant experience in coordinating requests made under the Access to Information Act.
