This is an inventory of potential candidates to fill upcoming employment opportunities at the PM-04 level within the Financing, Administration and Management System Unit (FAMS), First Nations and Inuit Health Branch at Indigenous Services Canada, Quebec Region.

The first pull of candidate applications could happen as early as November 2018.

The inventory will be updated every 120 days. You will receive a notice in your applicant account 10 days before the end of your active period to determine whether or not you wish to keep being considered for an additional 120 days.

Duties

Playing a key role in a dynamic team, you will be responsible for the analysis of business needs, the development and implementation of process and tools at national level and participate in several creative and innovative projects.

Work environment

The Financing, Administration, and Management Systems (FAMS) sector is characterized by its program delivery support role, particularly in terms of the administration and financial management of contribution agreements. FAMS also plays a role in reviewing business processes to optimize services to indigenous communities. The sub-sector Management Systems is responsible for process analysis, database management and collaboration tools as well as the implementation of projects that facilitate the collection of health data.

Intent of the process

This process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates which may be used to staff positions various tenures such as indeterminate, term and casual positions within the FAMS Unit, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, Indigenous Services Canada, Quebec Region. Should the selected candidate already be a public servant, the pool could also be used for acting appointments.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or higher studies from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field related to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

Experience:

1. Experience in coordinating projects or programs.
2. Experience in formulating recommendations to management.
3. Experience in revising or following up on financial and activity reports for projects or programs.
4. Experience in the coordination of committees or working groups.
5. Experience in computerized management of databases including construction, validation and interpretation of data.
6. Experience in the improvement of operational efficiency (ex: development of performance indicators, development of new business processes, etc).
7. Experience in business intelligence. (ex: process mapping, business needs analysis, operational efficiency, etc).
