The intent of this selection process is to staff an EC-06, Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB position with a secret security clearance on an indeterminate basis.
A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to staff identical or similar Bilingual imperative positions at Environment and Climate Change Canada with the following tenures: indeterminate, deployment, acting, assignment or secondment and extensions, in the National Capital Region. Note the security profile may vary depending on the position.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology, statistics.
Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Significant experience* conducting research and analysis related to environmental issues.
Significant experience* providing strategic advice, recommendations and briefings to management on environmental policy issues.
*Significant experience is defined as approximately 2 years with considerable depth and breadth.
Experience working with individuals or teams in research or policy development on complex environmental issues.
Experience engaging and coordinating with other departments and/or jurisdictions.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)

Knowledge of Environment and Climate Change Canada’s programs, mandate, and legislation.

Experience in conducting research or policy development related to the environmental assessment and/or cumulative effects.
