This position is required to Implement a planned maintenance program encompassing inspecting, testing, and the servicing of vehicles and Equipment. They will examine parts and test vehicles and equipment to determine the necessary repairs and verify the repairs have been satisfactorily completed, including conducting road tests. They will dismantle attachments or special equipment, and fabricate, modify and install replacement parts and inspects and tests modification for vehicles, farm equipment and mobile scientific apparatus. Must maintain and inventory of spare parts, tools, equipment and supplies, records of vehicle and equipment maintenance and modifications as well as records related to on-site bulk fuel storage.

A secondary school diploma.
Possession of an Interprovincial Journeyperson’s Automotive service technician certification (310S) or an Agricultural equipment technician Certification (425A).
Experience in the operation and maintenance of agricultural/farm related equipment
Experience using a computer for emails, garage management programs and vehicle repair manuals
*Recent experience as a mechanic in one the following areas: automobiles, light trucks or agricultural equipment repairs.
*Recent means the experience was gained no more than three years in the past.
College diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in welding, automobile air conditioning OR a certificate from a recognised post-secondary institution in a field related to the position being filled.
Possession of a Truck and Coach Service Technician Trade Certification.
Experience in welding and metal fabricating techniques.
Experience in supervising a team and organizing a workload with changing priorities.
Experience in planning, organizing and prioritizing activities.
Various language requirements
Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB ( 1 position)
English or French Essential ( 1 position )

Ability and willingness to be exposed to animal manure and other animal body fluids (such as rumen fluid, blood, urine, mucus, infections, semen and vaginal fluids).
