The immediate intent of this poster is to staff one PM-04 indeterminate English essential position in Yellowknife, NWT.
A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various linguistic profiles, security requirements, conditions of employment as well as various tenures (term and/or indeterminate), acting, secondments, assignments, and deployments may be offered to qualified employees of the public service.

Experience working or living in Northern Canada, which is defined as north of the 60th parallel and working on indigenous files, within the last 2 years.
Experience working effectively with First Nations, Inuit or Metis.

Knowledge of current health issues, policies, legislation or programs affecting First Nations and Inuit living in the territories.
Knowledge of financial management practices, frameworks and systems, including budget planning, control and auditing.

Organizational Needs:
In alignment with the Aboriginal Peoples Employment Program (APEP) in support of increasing Aboriginal representation in areas having the most impact on program delivery and health outcomes of FNIHB’s target population, selection may be limited to candidates self-identifying as belonging to Aboriginal peoples.
