The Bureau offers challenging careers. We seek individuals who can work in multi-disciplinary teams and are comfortable conducting investigations pursuant to Part VIII of the Competition Act. The Bureau’s Competition Law Officers will pool their expertise in performing research and analysis under the Competition Act, preparing requests for information, conducting interviews with market participants, assessing the competitive impact of proposed transactions or conducts writing reports and making recommendations to senior management. The intent of this process is to fill five (5) positions. At least one (1) of the positions may be in Toronto.
A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to fill similar positions at the Competition Bureau, for :
* various tenures (indeterminate or term),
* various language requirements (Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential) and/or
* various security requirements (Enhanced Reliability and Secret).

EDUCATION:
Currently enrolled in* or completed a Master’s degree in economics from a recognized post-secondary institution.
