The Courts Administration Service (CAS) provides services to the Federal Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, the Court Martial Appeal Court of Canada and the Tax Court of Canada.

A pool of pre-qualified or fully qualified candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various tenure, various linguistic profiles and security requirements within the Courts Administration Service.

Your résumé.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in a field related to the duties of the position.

Degree equivalency

Extensive* and recent** experience interpreting and applying court rules practices and procedures.

Extensive* experience in writing reports, decisions and/or briefing notes.

Definition:
*Extensive refers to the breadth and depth of experience and is defined as a combination of time spent doing the activity, as well as type (range, scope, and complexity) of work handled related to the experience criteria.
**Recent is defined as within the last two (2) years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

A degree from a recognized university.

A law degree from a recognized university.

Degree equivalency

Experience in conducting assessment/taxation of costs.

Experience interpreting and applying Federal Court rules practices and procedures.

Experience working in a judicial or quasi-judicial environment.

Conditions of employment

Top Secret security clearance - and Secret.

Willingness to travel by varied commercial modes of transportation.
Willingness to work at times other than regular working hours.

Appointment is conditional upon the Chief Justices issuing a Court Order appointing the person Assessment Officer.
