There is an immediate need to staff one (1) indeterminate GL MAM 09 position in Petawawa, Ontario. A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions, with varying tenures.

Education:
EDU - Completion of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Occupational Certification:
For the MAM 09/HP 03 Stream:
OC1-Possession of a Ontario MOE Class 2 Water
Distribution and Supply certificate
AND
OC2-Possession of a valid TSSA Petroleum Mechanic 2 (PM2) certification or a valid TSSA Petroleum Mechanic 3 (PM3) certification.
For the MAM 00/HP 01 Stream:
OC3 – Possession of a CAF WFE Tech QLF5 qualification or higher
OR
OC4 – Possession of an Ontario MOE Class 1 Water Distribution and Supply certificate or equivalent certification as acquired through a Canadian provincial/territorial regulatory body.
OR
OC5 - Possession of an Ontario Operator in Training (OIT) Water Treatment qualification and Ontario Operator in Training (OIT) Water Distribution and Supply qualification.

AQ4-Experience operating and maintaining fuel systems.
AQ5-Experience in the handling of Chemicals and HAZMAT.
Operational Requirements
OR1-Ability to obtain and maintain a DND driver’s license (DND 404)
OR2-Willingness to work overtime including weekends
OR3-Willingness to be on a call-in list and asked to respond after hours within one hour of being called in.
OR4-Willingness to wear personal protective equipment used in a construction/maintenance environment
OR5-Work may include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting, bending, pulling and/or pushing, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching, sitting, color determination, speaking and listening, and working in hot and cold environments for extended periods of time.
OR6-Willingness and able to lift and carry heavy equipment in small, cramped locations
Reliability Status security clearance
Other conditions of employment:
-Valid class “G” driver’s license issued by the Province of Ontario or other provincial/territorial equivalent.

Candidates must meet all of the essential qualifications noted in the Statement of Merit Criteria to be appointed to a position. A candidate may be appointed to a position even though he/she does not meet any or all of the asset qualifications or operational requirements. However, meeting these criteria is desirable and may be a deciding factor in choosing the person to be appointed.
Pay Rates:
GL MAM 00 - Apprentice position (Petawawa and Kingston) $15.14 - $27.85 per hour
GL MAM 09 - Technician position (Petawawa and Kingston) $27.85 - $30.28 per hour
HP 01 - Apprentice position (Trenton and Borden) $25.07 - $26.15 per hour
HP 03 - Technician position (Trenton and Borden) $29.84 - $31.34 per hour
