Duties

There are a variety of opportunities at the CR-04 level. Some examples include:

Traffic Services Support Clerks – Employees in these positions play an important role in public safety traffic initiatives around the province. One responsibility includes issuing and maintaining the lifespan of a speeding ticket from the initial violation, to the updated disposition, to the conclusion in court.

Criminal Operations Admin Support – Employees in these positions provide a full range of direct administrative support to RCMP Senior Management in areas such as correspondence, finance, travel, agenda and itineraries, database services, information research, external liaison and internal advice for all administrative issues and concerns.

Heath Services Admin Support – Employees in these positions work directly with doctors and nurses at Depot, providing service to Cadets and RCMP staff. By joining our team, you will be able to provide information to assist the health needs of our clients.

Information Management Specialists- create a multitude of different files, both electronic and physical. They also research and respond to Access to Information and Privacy requests, review Operational files, and offer support to RCMP units and detachments throughout the province.

Intent of the process

An essentially qualified pool will be established from this process. Depending on the position(s) being staffed, additional asset qualifications, organizational needs, operational requirements or conditions of employment may be required and candidates in the essentially qualified pool may be assessed and required to meet these additional qualifications in order to be appointed.

Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member.

Successful completion of two years of secondary school* or employer-approved alternatives

Degree equivalency

Experience providing administrative services such as filing, word processing, meeting minutes, reception work, mail duties, etc. OR acceptable training** in the administrative support services field
**Acceptable training is considered successful completion of an Office Administration / Office Education program or currently enrolled in an Office Administration / Office Education program

Experience providing service to clients

Graduation with a degree from a recognized university, relevant to the position

Experience using Police Reporting and Occurrence System (PROS)
