Education:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, civil engineering, or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
Experience:
Experience* in collecting, analyzing and presenting scientific or engineering data related to pollution prevention or pollution control.
Experience* in participating as a member or team leader in multidisciplinary projects on environmental issues.
*Experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with full time performance of the duties in a work environment during a period of one (1) year.
Asset Qualifications:
Experience* in preparing terms of reference, reviewing proposals, and contract management.
Experience* in reviewing and providing technical advice relating to greenhouse gas or air pollutant emissions in environmental assessments.
Experience* in managing, querying, and designing databases using programming languages such as R or Python
Experience* in conducting lifecycle assessments.
*Experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with full time performance of the duties in a work environment during a period of one (1) year.

This selection process may be used to staff similar positions with linguistic profiles such as Bilingual imperative BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC or CCC/CCC as well as English Essential or French Essential.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change.
Knowledge of engineering principles associated with controlling emissions and enhancing energy efficiency in the transportation or energy sectors.
Abilities:
