Information on accommodation for persons with disabilities
The immediate need is to staff (1) one position on an indeterminate basis. A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions within the Policy and Strategic Direction sector at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada (CIRNAC) and Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) with various tenures, various linguistic requirements and profiles, and various security requirements.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
NOTE:
Acceptable experience and/or training in a field relevant to positions in the group is required when the education qualification specified for the position being staffed is a secondary school diploma or approved employer alternatives.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in the interpretation and application of directives and policies relating to regulatory management or parliamentary affairs.
Experience in providing guidance and recommendations to sectors or clients on matters relating to parliamentary affairs or regulatory affairs.
Experience in preparing various documents such as Parliamentary returns, regulatory submissions, and/or briefing notes to senior management on various issues.
Experience in supervising or leading a project team.
ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from a recognized university with a degree in political science, journalism, communications or a degree relevant for the position.
Experience working in a departmental parliamentary affairs office, the House of Commons, Senate or for a provincial or federal Member of Parliament or a Senator.
Experience working in a regulatory capacity with the federal or other levels of government, the Community of Federal Regulators, or First Nations.
Experience working with senior executive or ministerial staff.
Experience editing bilingual material for senior executive approval.
Experience in providing strategic advice and analysis relating to ministerial objectives and departmental priorities to senior departmental officials and Minister's staff.
