The Information Mangement Specialist performs the implementation and monitoring of classification plans and retention schedules, verifies and analyzes the content of records and documents for classification purposes, and performs data quality and compliance monitoring for legal, regulatory and administrative requirements.
In addition, working as specialist gives you the opportunity to participate in testing national and regional systems, analyze requirements, provide advice and training to internal clients. Finally, the specialist supports the Information Management Team Leader in performing other related tasks.

The immediate intent of this selection process is to staff a term position.
Following the evaluation of applications, a pool will be created and could be used to staff similar or identical positions in Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) or other Federal Departments with various linguistic profiles as well as tenures and/or security clearance, which may vary according to the position being staffed.

Your résumé.
A diploma from a recognized post-secondary educational institution in documentation, archival, library or other information management related to the position.
Recent* experience in the use of an electronic document management system;
Experience in classifying and indexing electronic and paper files;
Experience in providing client service;
Experience in delivering training sessions.
* Recent refers to a minimum of 6 months of experience in the last two (2) years.
Experience in the use of document management systems used within the federal public service (GCdocs, CIDM, Livelink, etc.)

If after the use of these strategies, other needs arise; our management may proceed with the evaluation by including candidates who qualified and who obtained a lower passing grade.
