• As a part of the integrated services team, the incumbent will work in a
dynamic environment, supporting the Fredericton Research and Development
Centre`s two sites (Fredericton and Benton Ridge sub-station).
• Responsible for shipping and receiving and collaborating with both clients and
suppliers.
• Discussing and seeking consensus on contract specifications with managers,
and assessing local suppliers' proposals.
• Seeking consensus on contract specifications with clients and responsible for
assessing suppliers’ proposal and for coordinating procurement activities.
• Providing Asset inventory management services for AAFC’s capital assets in
Fredericton and Benton Ridge.
• The incumbent will rely on their communication skills to act as the liaison
between Public Service and Procurement Canada (PSPC) and our clients and
providing information on product/contract specifications, to agree on delivery
timelines, and to resolve issues related to quality control, deadlines and
procedures.

The Fredericton Research and Development Centre, which includes the Benton Ridge sub-station, delivers an integrated program of agriculture and agri-food research and technology transfer, which supports potato germplasm enhancement activities. Potato research is the Centre’s main focus as the province of New Brunswick is a recognized world leader in potato production.
The Centre is located in the city of Fredericton, population 56,224. An important cultural, artistic, and educational centre for the province, Fredericton is home to two universities and several cultural institutions. The Saint John River runs through Fredericton, with much of the suburban development occurring on the gently sloping hills on either side of the river.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used for similar permanent opportunities.

A secondary school diploma OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience in providing advice, guidance and information to clients in a client service environment.
Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience in capturing, inputting and reconciling of data for accuracy.
Experience in the procurement of goods and services using a Government of Canada Acquisition Credit Card, Local Purchase Order and Service Contract.
Experience in SAP using procurement and/or asset inventory modules.
Experience in Asset inventory management.
Experience in SAP – Plant Maintenance Module, Financial Accounting/Fixed Assets Directory, Materiel Management Module.
Bilingual - Imperative (BBB/BBB)
