The immediate need is to staff two (2) positions on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of English Essential and an RCMP Secret security clearance.
A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting, or assignment) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Notification regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

EDUCATION :
Successful completion of two (2) years of a post-secondary educational program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management or another specialty relevant to the position being staffed or an acceptable combination of education, training and or experience.
EXPERIENCE :
Stream 1: Business Intelligence
Stream 2: Data Warehousing
ALL Streams:
• *Experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining IT applications, reporting solutions, or databases.
• *Experience analysing, defining and documenting requirements and recommending solutions.
• *Experience in authoring three (3) or more technical documents, such as; functional requirements, options analysis, analysis and design documents, work break down structures, implementation plans, test plans, test cases.
• * Experience using one (1) or more of the following corporately scalable database products: Oracle, DB2, and SQL Server.
Stream 1:
• *Experience with IBM Cognos products 10.x or higher, including at least two (2) of the following: Framework Manager, Report Studio, or Transformer.
Stream 2:
• *Experience with IBM InfoSphere tools.
Definition: *Experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally have been gained performing the duties for a period of at least two (2) years.
ASSET EXPERIENCE :
ALL Streams:
• Experience in the development or maintenance of logical or physical database models in ERwin.
• Experience using a development tool such as TOAD to create database objects.
Stream 1:
• Experience with IBM Infosphere tools or other data warehousing tools.
