The intent of this process is to staff one (1) PC-02 English Essential position indeterminately in Edmonton, Winnipeg or Regina.
A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar PC-02 positions with different tenures (indeterminate, specified period, assignment/secondment, acting appointment and extension of acting appointment), with various security levels (reliability or secret), in Yellowknife, Iqaluit or other locations within Environment and Climate Change Canada.

Education:
ED1. Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in physics, geology, chemistry or some other science relevant to the position.
Note:
1.The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.
Experience:
EX1. Recent* experience in researching or providing technical advice in relation to environmental studies, assessments or programs of a multi-disciplinary nature.
EX2. Recent* experience in drafting written briefings, presentations or correspondence.
EX3. Recent* experience in analyzing and interpreting scientific or technical data.
*Recent is defined as at least 6 months within the last 3 years.
Asset Qualifications:
Experience:
AEX1. Recent** experience in working with government departments (federal or provincial) & agencies or the private sector in the field of environmental assessment and/or management or protection.
AEX2. Recent** experience with federal environmental assessment legislation and provincial or territorial environmental assessment processes and/or regulatory permitting.
AEX3. Recent** experience in consulting or negotiating with Aboriginal groups.
** Recent is defined as at least 1 year within the last 3 years
