EDUCATION

Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in information management/ information technology (IM/IT) or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

E1 - Significant* experience in the provision of strategic advice and recommendations to senior executives (at the senior director level and above) on IM/IT*** matters.

E2 - Significant* experience in the establishment of partnerships and in collaborating with different stakeholders such as departmental service lines, federal government departments and agencies, other levels of government or private sector organizations.

E3 - Significant* experience in managing human resources**.

E4 - Significant* experience in analyzing and formulating solutions with respect to Project or Infrastructure/Operation or Service Management or Security or Enterprise Architecture in the IM/IT*** field.

E5 - Significant* experience in managing projects or teams in the area of IM/IT*** services and solutions.

Definitions:

*Significant* means for a period of approximately 3 years within the last 5 years. "Significant experience" also refers to a depth and breadth of experience performing a broad range of complex activities.

** Human Resources Management: Applicants must clearly demonstrate that they have managed human resources. Some examples of managing human resources may include: assigning work, managing performance, developing resourcing plans, determining needs and approving training, etc. Applicants must indicate the number of staff they supervised.

AE12 - Experience with the planning, negotiating and management of service level arrangements and cost recovery agreements with partners.

AE13 - Significant* experience in analyzing, planning, development and delivery of public/private/hybrid cloud computing solutions.

AE14 - Experience in working with vendors and internal stakeholders in the areas of contract negotiations, contract performance management, and contract risk management.

****Financial Resources: Applicants must show evidence of managing and being accountable for a budget.
