Information on accommodation for persons with disabilities
In this role, you will be responsible for large enterprise projects that require engagement and/or collaboration with other government departments, external stakeholders, and various divisions across the Canadian Grain Commission. The types of projects you may encounter include: IMIT, Real Property, Service Modernization, Business Improvement, etc.
The CGC is a significant part of Canada’s dynamic and diverse agricultural sector. We regulate grain handling in Canada, set grain standards and conduct research on grain. At the CGC, we strive to live our values of excellence, integrity, respect and accountability.
Our office is located at 303 Main Street in downtown Winnipeg, close to countless amenities found at Winnipeg Square, the Forks, St. Boniface and the Exchange district. This process will be used to staff two full time indeterminate positions.
A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used for similar indeterminate, specified period employment, acting appointments, assignments, secondments or deployments.

Education:
• A secondary school diploma.
• Project management training within the last five years.
Experience:
• Recent* experience managing a complex* project in a business or federal government environment.
• Significant* experience providing briefings, advice, and recommendations to senior management.
• Significant* experience developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
*Recent refers to experience obtained within the past two years.
*Complex refers to a project that involves stakeholders from multiple business units and/or organizations, approvals and oversight from senior management, and a budget of at least $1 million (including salary costs).
*Significant refers to a depth and breadth of experience obtained over a minimum of two years or more in the field.
Education:
• Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited post-secondary institution with a specialization (minimum 15 credit hours) in a field relevant to this position (examples include Business Administration, Commerce, Computer Science, etc). The courses for specialization do not necessarily have to be part of a degree program in the required specialization.
• Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
Experience:
• Experience managing an IT-enabled project.
• Experience interacting with central agencies and preparing Treasury Board submissions.
• Experience developing business cases.
• Experience establishing and managing contracts with external service providers.
