EDUCATION:
• A post-secondary school diploma, OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in writing reports.
• Experience in providing advice in a regulatory environment.
• Significant experience* in the development and maintenance of partnerships with internal or external stakeholders or partners.
• Significant experience* in the conduct of regulatory inspections or audits or in the audits of policies or processes.
*Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience associated with having performed a broad range of related activities normally acquired over a cumulative period of three (3) years; and the performance of those duties within the last seven (7) years.

• Experience in risk management and risk assessment.
• Experience in quality assurance and/or quality control activities.
• Experience in the conduct of investigations.
• Substantial experience** working in the rail industry involving the supervision or maintenance of rail equipment.
**“Substantial experience” is understood to mean at least three CUMULATIVE years of work experience.
KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of the Railway Safety Act.
• Knowledge of the Railway Safety Management System Regulations, 2015.
ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS:

• Willing to travel occasionally outside of working hours.
• Willing to work overtime occasionally.
