EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Notes:
1. Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
2. An indeterminate incumbent of a former ES position on June 30, 1967 who became an EC on June 22, 2009, who does not possess the minimum level of education as indicated for Part A above is deemed to meet this minimum educational standard based on his/her education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
Experience conducting research and analysis for multidimensional policy or program issues.
Experience collecting, analysing and synthesizing information from a wide variety of sources to prepare communication/briefing materials SUCH AS briefing notes, reports or presentation decks.
Experience analyzing data and other information to determine trends.
Experience in data manipulation and carrying out business analytics and/or business intelligence.
Experience using business analytics tools SUCH AS Watson, Tableau, Qlik or Excel.
Various language requirements
Various linguistic profiles (English essential, English or French essential, Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC).

ASSET EDUCATION
Master’s Degree in Business Analytics
ASSET EXPERIENCE
Experience in the development, coordination and management of projects and project plans.
Experience engaging with and/or leading collaboration among stakeholders to produce reports, findings and/or recommendations.
Experience working in an IT environment.
Experience examining large amounts of data.
Experience developing analytical approaches and models using financial and statistical tools.
Experience drawing inferences, defining the problem and making recommendations based on model outputs.
