Intent of the process

Intent of the process:
The intent of this process is to immediately staff two CR-05 indeterminate positions. A national pool for PSPC will be created to staff similar positions with various tenures, various language requirements, and various Security requirements.

Successful completion of two years of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives such as an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Recent* experience delivering accounting services: such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, inventory control, or salary management services

Experience:
Recent* experience using accounting software or computerized financial systems to audit or process financial information.

Experience:
Recent* experience providing advice to and seeking transactional information related to accounting services from internal or external clients.

Recent* experience using spreadsheet, word processing software and email applications such as MS Word, Excel (intermediate), Outlook

*Recent defined as experience relevant to the position acquire within the last two years

Post-secondary education from a recognized institution in a related field such as accounting, business administration or economics

Experience in SAP

Recent* experience of a minimum of three of the following:
- Accounts payable
- Correction entries (Journal Voucher entries)
- Accounts receivable
- Contract payments
- Reconciliation of vendor and/or customer accounts.
- Financial analysis and reporting

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - The hiring department is responsible for the Personnel Security Clearance process. Typically to be eligible for a "Reliability" clearance, you must provide residence information for the last five (5) years. The process may involve reference inquiries, verification of qualifications, criminal records checks, credit checks (if required) and fingerprints.
