EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education, linguistics, sociology, psychology, mathematics, physics, home economics or some other specialty relevant to the positions in the classification.
EXPERIENCE:
Recent* experience in the coordination of learning design and development projects.
Experience designing and developing training material intended for adult audiences.
Experience consulting with internal or external stakeholders.
Experience designing learning solutions using at least two of the following technology-enabled learning methodologies:
(1) Distance learning design using technology such as Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, Desire2Learn, etc.;
(2) Educational video or animation design and production;
(3) Interactive learning solutions that leverage multimedia and gamification concepts;
(4) Virtual classroom using technology such as WebEx, Adobe Connect, GoToWebinar, etc.; and
(5) Technology-enabled classroom learning, using approaches such as, blended learning, active learning, video conferencing, flipped classrooms, polling, clickers, lecture capture, bring your own device.
* Recent experience is defined as experience acquired within the last five years.
