Intent of the process

A pool of candidates MAY be created and MAY be used to make indeterminate or acting appointments at the EX-01 group and level to staff current and future DFO/CCG positions across Canada. All federal organizations listed in Schedules I, IV and V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) may use this staffing process to appoint a candidate to its organization in a similar position if a pool is created .

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION:

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in computer science, computer engineering or other discipline related to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

Significant and recent* experience in developing and executing transformative strategies to help clients navigate through business processes transformation and automatization.

Significant and recent* experience building business cases and communicating client-specific value proposition.

Experience in leading discussions with business and technical decision makers.

Experience in digitalization projects which include coordinating team members to do at least three of the following activities:
o develop use cases
o digitization discovery process
o guiding solution development
o redefining business models
o implementing digital best practices
o sharing expertise/training

Significant and recent* experience facilitating and communicating to senior executives (Director General or private sector equivalent and above).

Extensive** project management experience with the ability to manage multiple activities with multiple stakeholders.

Experience in managing human and financial resources.

NOTES:

*Significant and recent is defined as the depth, breadth and diversity of experience normally acquired through performing a broad range of various, complex activities, over a period of approximately two (2) years within the last five (5) years.

** Extensive is defined as the depth, breadth and diversity of experience normally acquired through performing a broad range of various, complex activities, over a period of approximately ten (10) years.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in leading and managing digital strategy-related business transformation opportunities, from initial scoping through final delivery and sign-off.

Experience in developing digital operating models, governance and measurement.

Experience driving new initiatives in large and distributed organizations.
