The intent of this process is to staff two (2) positions in the Solutions Integration division within the Project Management and Delivery Branch (PM&D) on an indeterminate basis. A pool of qualified candidates may be created following this process and could be used to staff other positions at the same or equivalent group and level at Shared Services Canada.

EDUCATION
Successful completion of a two (2) year acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialization relevant to the position being staffed or acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
NOTES:
Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.
Significant and recent* experience working in data centre, networks or IT security environments.
Significant and recent* experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams to develop IM/IT solutions to meet business needs.
Experience monitoring and managing data centre transformational projects.
Experience representing an organization on committees or working groups.
Experience preparing multiple (more than one) technical infrastructure solution documents such as high level architecture, concept of operations, or solution architecture** .
*Significant and recent experience is defined as the experience generally obtained from performing the duties for a period of five (5) years or greater within the last ten (10) years.
**Examples should specify which documents the candidate authored (rather than contributed to the creation of a document authored by another party).

Significant experience managing data centre teams providing application support services.
Significant experience managing data centre teams providing virtualization support services.
Significant experience in the design and integration of data centre solutions based on business requirements.
Experience with Network and Firewall management.
Experience capturing, monitoring, analyzing and reporting key project-related elements.
Experience with workload prioritization and coordination.
Experience in the implementation and management of at one or more of the following data center technologies;
o Software defined networking (SDN),
o Software defined security (SDS),
o Virtualization management,
o Cloud management software.
Secret security clearance
Willingness to travel.
Willingness to work overtime (evenings and weekends).
Willingness to work 24/7 on-call status.
