This may be the position for you! The Records Classifier/Reviewer position is an exceptional opportunity within the K Division Records Management Unit, where you will be responsible for the Information Management (IM) and Record Management (RM) functions (file creation, management, maintenance, digitization, and disposition of records). You will be providing sound advice to business clients and detachments regarding information/records. The Unit manages 30,000+ hard copy and 450,000+ electronic records in a busy file room. Finally, you will be participating in the onboarding of the Canadian Government’s new electronic document and records management solution: GCDOCS.
This is an anticipatory staffing process designed to create a pool of qualified candidates. This pool of qualified candidates will be used to staff similar positions with various tenures within the RCMP in Edmonton (Alberta).
Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member. Notification regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

Successful completion of two years of secondary school, or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.*
*Candidates invited to an interview will be required to bring proof of their education credentials, in the form of a diploma or official transcript.
Recent* and significant** experience working with Electronic Document and Records Management System (for example iRIMS, GCDOCS, RDIMS, Sharepoint)
*Recent is defined as within the past three (3) years
**Significant is defined as ongoing responsibility for a minimum of 6 months consecutively
Post-Secondary education with a degree/diploma/certificate in Information Management, Library Sciences, Administration
Experience providing records management services (services may include, but are not limited to, indexing, cross-referencing, filing, retrieving, retaining, archiving or destroying data).

RCMP security clearance.
Successful applicants will be required to obtain and maintain a RCMP Security Clearance throughout their employment. This requires a Security/Reliability Interview, and a field investigation in matters of Criminal Activities, credit/finances, education, employment, reference, etc.
