In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

OR

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
• Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.

Note 1: Candidates will be asked to provide proof of education or eligibility for certification.

Note 2: Candidates with foreign credentials must provide proof of Canadian equivalency. Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES
• Experience in project management within a technical environment.
AND
• Experience working on aircrafts on ground (AOG)*.
OR
• Experience coordinating engineering teams working on an aircraft.
OR
• Experience auditing organizations in the aerospace industry.
*AOG is recognized terminology for work related to an aircraft to return to service.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCES
• Experience in the design, development, testing, in-service support or certification of aeronautical products.

• Experience in the identification, evaluation and rectification of in-service airworthiness problems.

• Significant* experience in managing or evaluating inputs related to the identification, evaluation and rectification of in-service airworthiness problems.

• Experience in the application of non-destructive testing.

• Experience in the development or application of standards, policies or legislation applicable to the certification of aeronautical products.

• Experience in one or more engineering specialty relevant to certification of aeronautical products.

• Experience and/or knowledge in methods used in the investigation and analysis of airworthiness deficiencies.

• Experience and/or knowledge in engineering related to aircraft structures and/or systems including avionics/electrical.

*Significant is defined as having five (5) or more years of engineering experience whilst progressively acquiring increased responsibilities related to engineering in the aerospace industry.

ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS
• Preference may be given to self-identified Employment Equity candidates to address branch and/or departmental objectives.

• Security clearance : Secret
• Must be willing and able to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Must be willing and able to travel nationally and internationally as required.
