Education
• Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Notes:
1. Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.
2. It is the recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.
3. At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience may serve as an alternative to the minimum post-secondary education stated above. Whenever the minimum education is met using this alternative, it is met for the specific position only and must be re-assessed for other positions for which this alternative has been specified by the manager.

EXPERIENCE
1. Recent* and significant** experience in managing at least one of the following: IM/IT projects, IM/IT solutions, IM/IT products and/or IM/IT services.
2. Recent* experience in providing strategic advice to executive management*** related to IM/IT.
3. Recent* and Extensive**** experience in managing financial, human, and/or contractual resources
4. Recent* experience, at the Manager level or above, in establishing and managing strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and/or external stakeholders for the achievement of results.

** Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of approximately 3 years.

1. Significant** experience in managing the overall Security posture of IM and IT systems.
2. Experience in developing IM/IT systems and/or integration of commercial off-the-shelf software (COTS) as part of the solution.
3. Extensive**** experience in planning, developing, managing, engineering and operating an enterprise-wide technical infrastructure, network and computing platform environment.
4. Experience in designing and maintaining architectures such as Business Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, Information Architecture, Systems Architecture, Technology Architecture, Security Architecture and Data and Information Architecture..
5. Experience in negotiating agreements, working with, and managing IM or IT service contracts.
6. Experience in management of technical environments such as .Net and Java.
7. Experience in IT Service Management
8. Experience providing and/or leading business relationship management services.
9. Ability to manage complex projects using recognized project management practices

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
