Intent of the process

Please note, the intent of this selection process is to offer three indeterminate appointments in Gatineau, Quebec with a bilingual imperative BBB/BBB and English or French Essential language profile. A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at Environment and Climate Change Canada with various linguistic profiles and/or requirements, various security requirements, as well as tenures (Indeterminate, Term, Deployment, Acting, Assignment and Secondment) in the NCR.

EDUCATION

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).

Note 1:
The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
-A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
-An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

Ex1 Recent (see Note 2) experience in analyzing financial data and providing financial support services such as processing invoices or verifying and reconciling financial statements.

Ex2 Recent experience (see Note 2) in using a spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel and database software or programs such as SAP, Oracle, Access, etc.

Note 2: "Recent experience" is defined as within the last five years.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

AQE Graduation with a college level diploma or a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a discipline relevant to the position.

Degree equivalency

AQEx1 Experience working in a grants and contributions environment within the federal, provincial, crown, municipal or other governments or institutions.

AQA Ability to interpret financial policies and procedures.
