The immediate intent of this Job Opportunity Advertisement is to staff indeterminately, however applicants should be aware that a pool of qualified candidates (fully assessed or partially assessed) may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements listed in the Language Requirements section. Education
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
Note: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience

Significant and recent* experience researching and analysing current or emerging policy, program and/or economic issues
Significant and recent* experience in developing two of the following documents: reports, research papers, policy documents, technical documents and/or briefing materials that have policy, program and/or legal considerations
Experience in formulating and/or developing recommendations for management or senior management
Stream 1 - EC-04
Experience in providing technical and project management support to advance policy and/or program team initiatives
Experience in consultation with diverse groups

Experience with the planning and the implementation of policy and/or program initiatives
Significant and recent* experience in consultation with diverse groups
* Significant and recent experience is defined as experience associated with the performance of a large number of complex activities, taking into consideration the scope of duties and responsibility level normally possessed by an individual who has worked in this area for approximately two years (24 months) within the last five (5) years.
