Intent of the process

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education
Two (2) years of post-secondary education in a field related to the functions or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience
Using five (5) concrete examples, please demonstrate your experience (in answering the two (2) experience requirements below).

In your 5 examples, you must provide a minimum of one (1) non-competitive process and two (2) competitive processes examples.

The examples provided must be files which you have handled from requisition receipt to contract award.

For each example, please describe the activities you performed in the various phases of the procurement process.

1. Significant experience* in preparing solicitation documents for the procurement of services (including reviewing and enhancing Statements of Work, mandatory and point-rated evaluation criteria and evaluation methodologies) within the Federal Government.

2. Significant experience* providing guidance and advice to both clients and management on procurement or contracting issues.


* "Significant experience" is defined as complexity of tasks and the breadth and depth of experience normally acquired by carrying out the functions over at least twenty-four (24) months in the Government of Canada.

Asset Qualifications

Education
• Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in supply chain management, business administration, commerce, public administration or in a field relevant to the functions.
• Completion of the Certification Program for Federal Government Procurement and Materiel Management Communities or any other recognized procurement certification

Degree equivalency

Experience
• Previous experience in using a minimum of two PSPC issued procurement tools available on CPSS (i.e. TBIPS, TSPS, ProServices, etc.) to award contracts.
• Experience in issuing and managing Standing Offers or Supply Arrangements.
• Experience in using the SAP Integrated Financial and Materiel System for the creation of contractual documents.

Operational Requirements
Considering the mandate of the department, vacation leave may be limited in periods of high volume.
