VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates MUST provide a cover letter as the cover letter and resume will be used to assess your ability to communicate effectively in writing. You must provide concrete and detailed examples to clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience requirements listed in the essential qualifications and asset qualifications section. The screening board cannot make any assumptions about your experience. It is not sufficient to say that you have the required qualifications or to list your current duties. One effective approach would be to use the wording of each experience criterion as a heading and then write one or two paragraphs demonstrating that you have the required experience and ensure that clear and accurate details are provided. The resume may be a secondary source to confirm the experience described in the cover letter.
APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT CLEARLY DEMONSTRATE THAT THE CANDIDATE MEETS THE SCREENING CRITERIA WILL NOT BE GIVEN FURTHER CONSIDERATION.
Candidates may be required to meet the asset qualifications or the organizational needs, depending on the requirements of the specific position being staffed.
Applicants with disabilities: Should you require a technical aid or an alternative method of assessment to ensure an equitable assessment of your qualifications, please indicate so in your application.
Experience will be evaluated against depth and breadth of activities, and the complexity and diversity of the activities. Top down consideration of experience may be used.
Public service employees found qualified in this process may be considered for acting, assignment, deployment or secondment.
An assignment, secondment, or acting appointment requires approval of your supervisor.
Reference checks may be sought.
An interview may be administered.
A test may be administered.
A random and/or top down selection of candidates may be used in the determination of those to be given further consideration in the assessment process.
PLEASE NOTE: Top-down consideration of scores at any stage of this process may be used to determine the number of qualified candidates
PLEASE NOTE: For this selection process, our intention is to communicate with applicants by e-mail for screening/assessment purposes (including issuing screening results, and sending invitations for written tests and interviews). Candidates who apply on this selection process must include in their application a valid e-mail address and to make sure that this address is functional at all times and accepts messages from unknown users (some email systems block these types of email). It is the candidate’s responsibility to provide any changes to their personal information to the contact indicated on this job advertisement.
Failure to respond to communications may be construed as a withdrawal from this process.
All job applications must be submitted through jobs-emplois.gc.ca. Do not fax, email or mail hard copy documents as these will not be accepted. To submit an application online, please click on the button "apply now".
Candidates from outside the Federal Public Service will be required to pay for their own travel expenses for various phases of testing/assessment.
