EDUCATION:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized university with a specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce, economics or other specialty relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE:
- Recent and significant experience* in preparing financial reports.
- Recent and significant experience* in preparing financial analysis.
- Recent and significant experience* in preparing and analyzing operational budgets and forecasts.
- Experience in providing financial services, advice and guidance to various levels of staff and senior management (Director level and above).
- Experience in writing reports to senior management.
- Experience in using pivot tables and other advanced features of Excel software to analyze and manipulate large sets of financial data.
*“Recent and significant experience” means over a period of approximately three (3) years within approximately the last ten (10) years.

OSFI's Ottawa location is downtown with easy access to shopping, restaurants, gyms, financial institutions and more. The building is less than a five minute walk from the Transitway and from the nearest STO stop.
As a Separate Agency, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) appoints employees in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). OSFI is named in Schedule V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and it offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core Federal Public Service. In addition to this, OSFI employees obtain a minimum of 4 weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and are eligible for an annual performance bonus.
