This process will be used to indeterminately staff the above-mentioned positions (one English Essential position and one Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB). A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate, term, deployment, assignment, secondment or acting basis.

EDUCATION :
• A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION :
• Formal accreditation for the Civilian Ammunition Technician (CAT) training level 2 OR Military Ammunition Technician Trade Training QL5 and successful completion of a Primary Leadership Qualification (PLQ).
EXPERIENCE :
• Experience in warehousing activities for dangerous goods Class 1.
• Experience in the management of inbound (receipts) and outbound (issues) movement of dangerous goods Class 1.
• Experience in processing ammunition requests.
• Experience in using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
EXPERIENCE (ASSET) :
• Experience managing supply chain operations.
• Experience managing ammunition inventory.
• Experience in working with the Ammunition Inventory Maintenance System (AIMS).
• Experience in working with Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) in a material management capacity.
• Experience in working with Ammunition & Explosives Safety Information Management System (AESIMS).
• Experience in supervising military members or civilian employees.
Various language requirements

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
• Willingness to work overtime on occasion.
• May be required to travel.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT :
• Secret Clearance.
• Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s licence issued by the province of New Brunswick or equivalent from another province.
• Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain valid DND 404 vehicle operator licence.
• Must attain formal accreditation for the Civilian Ammunition Technician (CAT) training level 3 within 12 months from the date of hire.
• Must wear a variety of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Must be willing and able to safely lift large items up to 23 kg repetitively.
• Must be willing and able to work outside in extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time.
