This position is located in Iqaluit, Nunavut. The salary range for this position is from $80,274 to $86,788, plus northern allowance (from $19,000 to $31,000 per year) and vacation travel assistance (approximately $2,000-$3,000 per person (i.e. per employee and each of the eligible dependent), twice per year).

This position is located in Iqaluit, Nunavut. The incumbent will be a member of the Implementation and Regional Programs unit, tasked with delivering grants and contribution programming. The Regional Program Development Team Leader (Supervisor, Regional Programs) is responsible for direct supervision of staff, and facilitating the creation of funding arrangements.

The intent of this process is to staff on an indeterminate basis the Regional Program Development Team Leader (Supervisor, Regional Programs) position.
A pool of qualified candidates will be created and may be used to staff similar or identical positions with various tenures (such as indeterminate, term, or acting period) within federal departments and agencies located in the Nunavut Region.

•Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
•Experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to management.
•Experience in collaborating or managing programs, or projects.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
•Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with an acceptable specialization in business or public administration or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
EXPERIENCE:
•Experience working in a Northern environment.
•Experience working in a multi-cultural environment, specifically as it relates to Inuit culture and values.
•Experience working in Grants & Contributions, specifically as it relates to government programming (federal, provincial, or territorial).
•Experience supervising staff.
ABILITIY:
•Ability to communicate in Inuktut.
•Ability to coach and/or mentor staff.

Indigenous Peoples: Preference given to candidates self identifying as Inuit enrolled under the Nunavut Agreement.
•Reliability Status security clearance.
•Health Canada Medical Clearance (may be required).
•Ability and willingness to travel to isolated communities on small aircraft, and outside of Nunavut.
•Ability and willingness to work overtime on short notice.
