Intent of the process

A pool of partially qualified candidates will be created to staff similar positions within Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada with various language requirements and various tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, specified period, assignment, secondment).In addition, this process may be used for various tenures (indeterminate, deployment, acting, specified period, assignment, secondment), security requirements, locations and conditions of employment across Canada. In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
• A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of two (2) years of post-secondary education, training and/or three (3) years of experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
• Recent* and significant** experience in presenting strategic communications advice and recommendations to senior level management*** and clients on digital communications, including websites.
• Recent* and significant** experience in the management of web products, such as: websites and web applications.
• Experience managing a website’s quality control in terms of content, flow, accessibility and navigability of information on the site.
• Experience leading communications or publishing teams.

Candidates need to provide clear and specific examples in their application on how they meet the following definitions:

* Recent experience is defined as work experience within the last three (3) years.
** Significant experience is typically developed over a period of at least three (3) years and will be evaluated in regards to amount, complexity and diversity of work handled, and level of autonomy demonstrated.
*** Senior level management is defined as Director and above.

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE
• Experience managing and reviewing the work of language editors (editing process).
• Experience managing and reviewing the work of HTML coders (web publishing process).
• Experience managing budgets and contracts.
• Experience with social media.

ASSET KNOWLEDGE
• Knowledge of Information Management (IM) best practices
