Work environment

The work is being performed in a police detachment environment. This results in occasional exposure to intoxicated, mentally unstable, hostile and potentially violent individuals to victims of crime or relatives of accident victims who may be distraught. The work is performed in an open office environment. It involves tight deadlines, time pressures, frequent interruptions, conflicting priorities and multiple demands from staff, callers and visitors.

Should a CM be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to another category for the member.

Successful completion of secondary school education according to provincial/territorial standards or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Experience using word processing and Excel.

Experience in providing information or advice to management or clients.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Experience in the interpretation of government legislation or regulations or government policies related to asset management.

Experience in client services related to fixed asset management.

Experience in working with Federal Government Accounting software (i.e. SAP, TEAM).

The successful applicant will have to obtain, as a minimum, an RCMP Reliability Status. The candidate must not have a Criminal Record. The process also requires a Security/Reliability Interview, a field investigation in matters of credit/finances, education, employment, references, etc.

Successful candidates(s) must meet and maintain the Conditions of Employment throughout their employment.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar term and/or permanent positions.

Preference may be given to RCMP employees impacted/affected by work force adjustment.
