This process will be used to staff an indeterminate position and a pool may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various tenures within Public Services and Procurement Canada in Western Region.

Education :
- Secondary school diploma or employer approved alternative such as an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
- Experience in gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources to provide advice, guidance and make recommendations to both management and employees
- Experience in Emergency Management
English or French

Knowledge:

- Knowledge of facilities emergency preparedness planning
- Knowledge of the Policy on Government Security as it applies to emergency management and business continuity

Abilities and Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations
- Ability to work effectively under pressure/in stressful situations
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in emergency management
- Certificate or diploma-level training in emergency management
- Experience in providing advice and guidance to internal and external clients with regard to emergency management and emergency preparedness
- Experience in the delivery of presentations OR public speaking
- Experience in working with Business Continuity Plans
- Experience in providing emergency management training
- Experience in providing security and emergency advice to internal and external clients or large international events
- Experience in coordinating, planning and delivery of table top exercise for emergency scenarios
- Experience in organizing emergency drills such as fire drills
