We have 3 positions to fill, 1 indeterminate and 2 for specified periods (approximately 1 year with the possibility of extension). A pool of qualified candidates will be established from this process which may be used to staff similar positions with various locations, linguistic profiles and requirements and employment tenures within LAC across Canada.

A response to a text question addressing the following:
EDUCATION:
Master's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in archival or social sciences (for example: history, sociology, political science) or some other specialty relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE:
-Experience in the appraisal, acquisition, description, management or preservation of digital archival collections
-Experience working with technical solutions for managing digital collections.
KNOWLEDGE:
-Knowledge of Archival Science principles or practices
-Knowledge of evolving trends and technological developments affecting the management of archival collections or the provision of digital archival and research services.
ASSET EXPERIENCE:
-Experience in project management
-Experience in web archiving
-Experience in drafting policies or procedural documents
-Experience in conducting training sessions
-Experience participating in professional library or archival associations or communities
-Experience assessing and implementing standards in an institutional context.
ASSET KNOWLEDGE:
-Knowledge of digital preservation principles, standards, and solutions.
