Delivery of specialized technical support services for the planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance and use of building facilities, as well as project management support for construction/maintenance projects and architecture, interior design or engineering activities and for the implementation of various technical services programs in Correctional Service Canada (CSC) facilities.
The Technical Services, Quebec Region, of Correctional Service Canada is a stimulating and dynamic environment mission is to ensure the operation, compliance and sustainability of a real estate portfolio of more than $ 8 billion dollars in an operational environment . We are responsible for institutions and penitentiary clusters as well as parole offices and community correctional centers located throughout Quebec. The facilities we manage are diverse such as buildings and structures, building mechanics systems, electrical distribution networks, infrastructures, generators, oil tanks, thermal power stations, water treatment and purification plants, roads, fences and barriers, and automobile fleets to name only those. Depending on the location of your position, you may be required to work in our regional office or in one of our local teams in an institution.
A pool of qualified candidates will be created following this process, and will be
used to staff similar positions for indeterminate appointments, term appointments, acting
appointments, casual, deployments, assignment and secondment in the Quebec region.

Education
Graduation with a college diploma in engineering technology, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience in construction or project management.
Experience
Experience analyzing and interpreting building construction drawings, specifications, and other related technical documents.
Experience planning and managing building construction projects and/or contracts.
Experience writing technical scopes of work related to construction.
Knowledge
Knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations.
Knowledge of applicable Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Knowledge of project management.
Abilities
Ability to conduct building construction inspections against required deliverables.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Ability to communicate effectively orally.

Education
Graduation with a degree in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering or any other field related to the position.
Project Management Certification (PMP) or Possession of professional designation related to project management from a recognised institution.

the duties of the position.
Experience
Experience using computer aided drafting and design software (example: AutoCAD).
Experience developing requests for project proposals.
