We have one indeterminate position to staff with Combat Training Centre Headquarters (CTC HQ). A pool of qualified candidates will be established and may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate, term, deployment, assignment, secondment or acting basis.

Education
- Successful completion of Secondary School or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Occupational Requirement
- Successful completion of the following DND General Safety Course: Basic or General Officer Training Course.
Experience
- Experience in coordinating and/or supervising professional, technical, and administrative staff to deliver safety, a program that includes conducting safety audits, inspections, and investigation.
- Experience in planning, developing, and administrating an occupational health and safety program.
- Experience in the interpretation and occupational Health and Safety acts and regulations.
- Experience in the provision of subject matter advice and reports to management committees.
- Experience in developing, coordinating and delivering training.

Knowledge
- Knowledge of the DND/CAF General Safety Program policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Knowledge of WHMIS – Workplace Hazardous Material Info Systems and Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) handling procedures.
- Knowledge of the Canadian Labour Code (CLC) Part 11, Canada Occupational Safety Health Regulations, Treasury Board Directives and DND policies pertaining to Workplace Health and Safety Committees.
