Duties

Join the Contact-Us team, Statistics Canada's Contact Center!
The main responsibilities of a dissemination officer are:

• Respond to entry-level inquiries and redirect more complex issues to the appropriate focal points.
• Help the public navigate our website to find different Statistics Canada products and services.
• Reset the passwords of our respondents.
• Validate the legitimacy of a survey or an interviewer.

Statistics Canada produces high quality statistics that help Canadians better understand their country, population, resources, economy, society and culture. The public can join the Contact Us team by telephone or email.
*Please note that our dissemination officers do not solicit.

Work environment

Our offices are located downtown, in the Guy-Favreau Complex (200 René-Lévesque Boulevard West, Montreal QC).

Intent of the process

A pool of qualified candidates will be created and will be used to staff positions of various tenures (determinate and/or Indeterminate) in the Contact-Us Center.

Information you must provide

Your résumé.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Customer service experience

Experience using MS Word, MS Excel and an electronic messaging software.

Be able to conduct searches on the Statistics Canada website and relay the information found.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Successful completion of two years of post-secondary school training with specialization in Social Sciences or Statistics.

Degree equivalency

Recent and significant experience* working in a call center.
* Recent and significant experience is defined as duties performed full-time for one year within the last 3 years.

Recent and significant experience* working in a help desk.
*Recent and significant experience is defined as duties performed full-time for one year within the last 3 years
