Intent of the process

This is an anticipatory staffing process to establish a pool of candidates within Nova Scotia (Sydney and Port Hawkesbury) that will be used to staff identical or similar positions of various tenures (permanent, temporary, acting, deployment, assignment and/or secondment) within ACOA Nova Scotia.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
Graduation with a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or eligibility for membership in a professional accounting association (CGA, CMA, CPA or CA).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Students within one year of obtaining their degree will be considered. You must provide the program and the date of obtaining your degree

Degree equivalency

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
• Experience in business development or community development or economic development
• Experience in assessing business plans or marketing plans or financial statements
• Experience in monitoring and managing contract performance
• Experience in working in a partnership role with officials from other federal departments, provincial/municipal governments, private sector or non-government organizations

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET EDUCATION
• Relevant Master’s degree OR an acceptable professional designation (CPA)

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE
• Experience in the delivery of financial assistance programs.
• Experience in supporting/mentoring community economic development organizations in the preparation of projects or initiatives.
• Experience in drafting briefing materials, analyses and recommendations for senior management.
