Lab work:
- Molecular biology (e.g. DNA and RNA extraction, PCR, T7E1, cloning)
- Transcriptomics (e.g. library preparation, data analysis)
- Plant tissue culture (e.g. Agrobacterium-mediated transformation and selection)
- Biochemical characterization (e.g. proline content, antioxidant capacity)
Greenhouse work:
- Rearing of alfalfa plants in greenhouse

The candidate is required to be registered as an MSc student in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Lethbridge under the supervision of Dr. Elizabeth Schultz and will conduct lab and greenhouse work at the Lethbridge Research and Development Centre under the joint supervision of Dr. Schultz and Dr. Stacy Singer (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada).

Currently enrolled or eligible to be enrolled in September 2018 in an MSc program in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Lethbridge with specialization in plant biology.
Experience conducting experiments in a molecular biology laboratory.
Experience with Next Gen Sequencing.
