Duties

The Director General Integrated Complaint and Conflict Management (DG ICCM) is looking to create a dedicated capability to conduct harassment investigations within the Department of National Defence (DND) and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).

Intent of the process

The intent of the process is to establish a pool of qualified candidates to staff similar positions with various linguistic profiles and security clearances, for various tenures within the Department of National Defence.

Please note that this staffing process may be used to staff positions in other regions according to the operational need.

EDUCATION

Graduation with a *degree from a **recognized post-secondary institution or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience normally acquired in five (5) years, conducting investigations.

*Degree is defined as a baccalaureate or higher level degree, as established by educational authorities.
**Recognized post-secondary institution:
Public or private institution that has been given authority to grant degrees, diplomas, and other credentials by a public or private act of a provincial/territorial legislature or through a government-mandated quality assurance mechanism.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

EX1. Recent* experience planning, conducting and reporting on one the following areas:
- Criminal Investigations
- Administrative Investigations**
- Audits in a regulatory context

EX2. Experience conducting interviews in an audit or investigative context.
EX3. Experience writing analytical reports on investigation or audit results.
EX4. Experience presenting findings to senior management***.

* Recent is defined as within the last five (5) years.
** Administrative investigations refer to examinations and inquiries into allegations or instances of impropriety, mismanagement and other irregularities or investigations into disclosures of wrongdoing in the workplace or harassment.
*** Senior management is defined as Director and above
