Education:
Successful completion of two (2) years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialization relevant to the position being staffed.
Experience:
Significant* and recent** experience working in an Information Management, Information Technology (IM/IT) environment analyzing IM/IT requirements or delivering IM/IT solutions or providing IM/IT support in a decentralized environment.
Recent** experience in preparing technical documentation, such as, but not limited to, procedures, user guides or IM/IT requirements.
Significant* and recent** experience in co-ordinating tasks and deliverables in an IM/IT environment.
Significant* and recent** experience in applying IT Security best practices.
* Significant is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of related activities for a minimum of one (1) year.
** Recent is defined as experience that has been obtained within the last three (3) years.

Knowledge:
Knowledge of relevant federal legislations, policies, standards and directives related to IM/IT Security.

Assets Qualifications:
Education:
A diploma from a 3-year program offered by a recognized college with specialization in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or any other field related to the position
A bachelor's degree from a recognized university with specialization in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering or any other field related to the position
Professional certification in one or more of the following areas: ITIL; Security; Microsoft; Oracle; CISCO; Unix/Linux, Project Management Professional certification (PMP) through the Project Management Institute, CISA, CISSP, or McAfee
Experience:
Experience in the Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) process of Information Systems, including performing Statements of Sensitivity (SoS) and Threat Risk Assessments (TRA) on IT Systems
Significant* and recent** experience in one or more of the following IT Security areas:
• Performing Vulnerability Assessments on IT Systems
• Application Security
• Network Security
• Security Incident Management
• IT Security Testing and Evaluation
Experience in using one or more of the following IT Security principles, methods, practices or tools:
• ITSG-33 – Security Assessment and Authorization methodology
• Harmonized TRA (Threats and Risk Assessment) methodology
• Security Architecture and IT Security Zones (ITSD-02)
• Baseline Security Requirements for Network Security Zones in the Government of Canada (ITSG-22)
• Network Security Zoning - Design Considerations for Placement of Services within Zones (ITSG-38)
Significant* and recent** experience in administering a corporate web filter (i.e.: Websense/Barracuda Networks) in collaboration with Shared Services Canada
Significant* and recent** experience in administering McAfee E-policy Orchestrator in collaboration with Shared Services Canada

Operational Requirements:
Willing and able to travel
Willing and able to work overtime.
Reliability Status security clearance - Security clearance: Reliability Status or Secret clearance depending on the position.
