The Audit and Evaluation Branch is playing an important oversight role for decision–making. Evaluation Services analyzes the department’s programs and policies to provide a neutral assessment of their relevance and performance, and when possible, identifies alternative ways to contribute to the same results. The Evaluation Directorate creates an evidence base to support policy and program improvement, cabinet decision-making, and public accountability
The Audit and Evaluation Branch is looking for dedicated and motivated people to join the evaluation team. Our evaluation community works not only on evaluation engagements, but also on joint projects with the audit team. We also participate in various working groups, committees and new initiatives that contribute in working in a collaborative environment with our partners, stakeholders and clients.

Infrastructure Canada leads federal efforts to ensure that Canadians benefit from world-class public infrastructure. This strategic and collaborative long-term infrastructure plan will build economically vibrant, strategically planned, sustainable and inclusive communities. Infrastructure Canada works closely with all orders of government and other partners to enable investments in social, green, public transit and other core public infrastructure, as well as trade and transportation infrastructure.

EDUCATION
ED1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
1. Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
2. An indeterminate incumbent of a former ES position on June 30, 1967 who became an EC on June 22, 2009, who does not possess the minimum level of education as indicated for Part A above is deemed to meet this minimum educational standard based on his/her education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
ALL STREAMS
EX1: Experience in applying quantitative and qualitative methods for evaluation.
STREAM I
EX2: Experience in participating in designing and/or conducting evaluation(s) of programs, projects, initiatives or policies.
EX3: Significant experience in developing, updating and/or revising logic models, performance measurement strategies and/or performance information profiles.
STREAM II
EX4: Significant experience in planning and conducting of program evaluations.
EX5: Experience in providing findings, conclusions, and recommendations, in support of evaluations.
EX6: Experience in writing materials for evaluation reports.
EX7: Experience in developing and maintaining client and/or stakeholder relationships.
EX8: Experience in developing performance indicators and measures, in support of program evaluations.
- Experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with full-time performance of the duties for approximately one (1) year.
- Significant experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with full-time performance of the duties for approximately of two (2) years.
