OSFI is looking for bright and talented people to join our growing ATIP team. If you are a service-oriented person who enjoys collaborating with team members, we hope to hear from you.
We offer the same pension and benefits plans as the core Federal Public Service. We also have our own dedicated team of Compensation Advisors on site in Ottawa. All OSFI employees obtain a minimum of 4 weeks of vacation leave per year and are eligible for an annual performance bonus. Both of OSFI’s Ottawa and Toronto offices are located downtown with easy access to public transit, shopping, restaurants, gyms, financial institutions and more.
This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements (including imperative and non-imperative bilingual positions or unilingual positions), security profiles, various tenures and locations (either Toronto or Ottawa). EDUCATION
For RE-04 & RE-05:
- Graduation with a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCE
For RE-04 & RE-05:
- Recent* and significant** experience interpreting and applying the Access to Information and the Privacy (ATIP) legislation
- Significant** experience in consulting with other departments, other levels of government and third parties on the disclosure or protection of information
- Experience preparing briefing materials and providing advice to senior*** officials on sensitive privacy and access to information matters
- Significant** experience in leading the entire process of departmental ATIP requests
- Experience in handling ATIP complaints filed with the Office of the Information Commissioner or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner or equivalent provincial oversight bodies
For RE-05 only:
- Experience leading complex ATIP files****
*Recent is defined as an experience obtained within the last five (5) years.
**Significant is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various complex related activities, which could normally be acquired over a period of approximately 3 years or more for consideration at the RE-04 level and of approximately 5 years or more for consideration at the RE-05 level.
***Senior officials are defined as Director level and above.
****Complex ATIP files are those that are either high profile (e.g. have media attention), require more consultations, entail obtaining advice from legal specialists, or involve more stakeholders than a typical ATIP file.
