These positions may require the use of a headset for prolonged periods, working in an environment that contains background noise and constant exposure to a computer screen.

You will work in an open space environment which can affect attention. This is a job that requires remaining seated for extended periods of time with a constant use of a keyboard and a mouse.

Work conditions require adapting to change, dealing with stress, and dealing with potentially angry clients.

These positions are at an inbound call centre located in WINNIPEG, MB. A Payment Services Officer provides services to the general public with respect to Pension benefits (Canada Pension Plan/Old Age Security). Extensive training and development opportunities will allow you to acquire a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of Service Canada's programs and services.

Intent of the process

This selection process will be used to create a qualified pool of candidates and may be used to fill future term vacancies, at full time and/or part-time hours, at the WINNIPEG Pensions Call Centre (Canada Pension Plan/Old Age Security).

Secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (a satisfactory score on the PSC test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience)

Degree equivalency

Experience in using technology (e.g. e-mail, Internet and word processing).

Experience in delivering services or programs to the general public involving obtaining and providing information requiring explanation or clarification.
